FONTE MARTINO

We are a small boutique winery with a cultivation area of less than one hectare located on the slope of the Poggio alle Forche. We focus on the production of selected wines with the aim of high quality. The cultivation and development of the wines is exclusively organic.

The varieties Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot are grown on vines that are more than 30 years old.

We already were awarded gold and silver medals for our wines.

We are supported by Nicola Biasi and his team, who repeatedly received the award for “Best Young Italian Winemaker".

Our Wines

CHARDONNAY Silver Medal 22

a full-bodied white table wine with notes of tropical fruit and mild acidity

MERLOT

The red table wine made from mostly Merlot grapes with some Petit Verdot is full-bodied with a taste of red berries

CABERNET SAUVIGNON

Exclusively Cabernet Sauvignon grapes give the wine a deep red color with some purple and a fresh taste of cherry with a hint of spice

POGGIO ALLE FORCHE Gold Medal 2021

Our Grand Cuvée is made from grapes of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The color is deep red with hints of purple. The wine is pleasantely light and fresh. Tastes of cherry and plum give it a nice sweetness, supported by a spicy note on the finish.

Olivnöl

Our Olive Oil

Our olive oil is of first class quality. The olive varieties are typical of central Italy and Tuscany: Moraiolo, Frantoio, Pendolino and Leccino. The trees are over 40 years old and grow organically in a natural environment. Shortly after harvesting, the olives are processed into olive oil with the help of a one-off cold pressing.

Our "Extra Vergine" is usually harvested in November. It has a delicate, fruity, soft and mild taste with slight bitter notes and a pleasant sharp finish. We use it as a salad dressing, with vegetables, fish, bread and pasta, because of its balanced taste it goes with almost all dishes.
